Dictionary of entomological terms

The Dictionary of Entomological Terms of the Entomological Society of Greece (E.E.E.) includes about 1180 terms related to Entomology, Acarology and Agricultural Zoology (with emphasis on terms related to nematodes), mainly in terms of systematics, biology, phenology, ecology, and treatment, with their interpretation, and the corresponding terms in English, French, Spanish and Italian. For many terms, the established terms in older Greek university texts have been retained as synonyms, on the basis of an attempt to record the available potential of terms used for the same concept in our language. The foreign-language terms are presented in an Index in alphabetical order by English term and in correspondence to the Greek term for their retrieval. For some English or Latin terms where there was no established Greek term, an attempt was made to render it in Greek for the first time. Also in the Index, terms in Greek without a foreign language equivalent are listed at the end of the foreign language terms.
